Chakra Meditation

Welcome back!
The chakra meditation is used to clear out the negative energies we absorb from those around us and to bring balance to the body, mind and spirit. This is achieved through meditation and visualization.
Chakras are seven major energy centers in our bodies beginning from the base of the spine to the top of the head. When they are aligned the energy in the body is flowing properly. Blocks in the chakras may result in physical consequences. For example, a person who has an inability to communicate freely and express himself may create a block in the throat chakra which can result in a sore throat.
The chakras spin outward from the front and the back of the body.
Tip to test the chakras: Hold a pendulum over each chakra and watch for a spin. A healthy chakra will move clockwise. A blocked chakra will not move. Find someone to hold the pendulum over your chakras since it will be difficult to test your own. You can buy a pendulum or easily make one by tying a key to the end of a string of yarn.
Each chakra vibrates at a different rate from slowest to fastest. Each is a different color and correlates to different emotions and physical aspects of the body. Look over more details of the seven chakras.
Sit in a quiet and comfortable place for the chakra meditation. Close your eyes and take a few deep breaths. Relax your body beginning with the feet and move up until you soften your eyelids.
Start with the first chakra at the base of the spine. Imagine energy coming up from the earth and filling your root chakra with a bright and brilliant red light. Feel the energy growing and becoming stronger. This is the chakra related to your ability to ground with the physical world. Meditate on this color and feel its richness. Allow the red light to fill your body and surround you. Exhale any negative energy. The negative energy is recycled back into the universe. You don’t have to worry about polluting the world with negativity!
Bring your attention to the second chakra. This is the sacral chakra and is tied to sexuality. See the orange light growing and swirling around right below the belly button. Watch and feel as it fills your body and wraps around you like a blanket. Meditate on this color for a while then exhale any negative energy associated with this chakra.
Focus on your third chakra. This is behind the solar plexus and is tied to our confidence and sense of self. Imagine the bright yellow light filling your middle, then your entire body and shine outward encircling you. Feel the energy as it builds up then exhale any negative energy tied to this chakra.
Move up to your fourth chakra, the heart. Feel the pink light fill your heart chakra. See the energy swirling about and filling your body then outward like a cocoon of pink around you. This is the chakra associated with compassion and love. Meditate on this loving light for a while. Exhale any negative energies you may have accumulated.
For an added meditation, see the color pink surround the universe to send love and compassion to all.
Bring your attention to your fifth chakra. This is in the throat chakra and is associated with communication. Watch as the bright blue light fills your throat and moves throughout the rest of the body. Stay here for a while meditating on the blue light. Feel as this color encompasses you. Exhale any negative energy from this chakra.
Now focus on the sixth chakra. This chakra is above the brow and is referred to as the third eye. An open chakra heightens intuition and inner awareness. Watch as a violet light fills your brow and your entire body. Feel the color violet around you. Exhale any negative energy from this chakra.
Finally, see a brilliant bright white light come up through the top of your head. This is the crown chakra and correlates to wisdom and universal consciousness. Watch as the bright light releases up out of your head and goes farther and farther beyond the universe and space. To close the chakra meditation, surround your body with white light of protection.
Use the chakra meditation daily for feelings of wellbeing!
