Conscious Music

Welcome back!
What sets conscious music apart from the rest is the lyrics and positive messages. Many artists write political songs, social issues, and songs of peace. Of course they may have a few love songs, but the goal isn’t to become lost in the sea of the mainstream. These artists create music that’s thought provoking and different.
Preeta & the PeaceMakers is one example. As the name of their band states, they have one main cause-to spread world peace.
Their songs have a rock/pop/reggae feel and Preeta, the main singer, always brings her acoustic guitar. A native of Hawaii, Preeta met her first guitar at the age of five. With hippie parents, it’s no wonder she finds it important to spread messages of world peace. Most of the band members are vegan and aim to live the positive lifestyle they sing about.
