<p>You&#8217;ll be guaranteed to lose weight with yoga fusion because I use poses and sequences that will give you a cardiovascular workout with strength training. Even if you&#8217;re a beginner this workout is perfect for you.  The exercises have modifications and as your body begins to open up and become stronger and more flexible you&#8217;ll be able to do more.<br />

<h2>Yoga Fusion</h2>
<p>I’ve heard a few misconceptions about yoga. Yoga Fusion goes beyond just stretching. With my practice, you’ll develop strength, balance, and even peacefulness! Yoga isn’t difficult nor is it boring. Each day brings about a different challenge. Some days you may have more balance or a deeper stretch than other days. It’s okay! Yoga is about listening to your body, meeting the challenges, and overcoming!</p>
<h2>Benefits of Yoga Fusion</h2>
<p>Yoga Fusion is a full body workout and also balances the mind and emotions.  It can make the practitioner more in tuned with his or her body.  By combining yoga, pilates, and meditation, you can enjoy a wide range of exercises that target different areas. Here are a few benefits:<br />
&#8226; It lowers cortisol levels which is the stress hormone<br />
&#8226; It drops cholesterol levels while raising the &#8220;good cholesterol,&#8221; HDL<br />
&#8226; Helps reduce fatigue<br />

<h2>Guided Meditation</h2>
<p>At the end of the session it&rsquo;s tradition to end in Savasana (corpse pose).  This is the restorative phase and it&rsquo;s important for your body to absorb its workout.</p>
<p>When I do private session, I guide the clients through a guided meditation.  At times clients are worried they won&rsquo;t be able to do the meditation.  Because I guide them through a visual journey they&rsquo;re able to complete the journey and feel the effects.  Each journey meditation has a specific goal catered to my clients&rsquo; needs.</p>
<h2>Private Yoga Fusion Sessions</h2>
<p>With each session we can focus on a different area you want to work on which can include emotional or physical changes. We can work on opening the heart, grounding, or bringing out the creative energy. Yoga Fusion will bring you results.  Even if you&rsquo;ve never tried yoga, pilates, or mediation, you&rsquo;ll find many benefits!<br />

<p>The crown chakra is your key to the realms beyond the physical universe. When you’re fully grounded, you should imagine a white light entering your crown charka and running down your body through your root chakra into the center of the earth.</p>

<p>Your crown chakra is your connection to the universal sources of energy and information. When ideas pop into your head out of no where, chances are they came from your higher self or possibly the collective unconscious. If you’re not receiving much feedback, it’s time to unclog the top chakra. Basically the crown chakra allows you to live harmoniously with the universe.</p>
<h2>Balancing the Crown Chakra</h2>
<p><b>Meditate to get an answer in your life.</b> Your answer may not come the first night. Sit and make sure you’re free from distractions. Pose a question, and wait for something to come to you. You may get an image, words, a thought, or an idea. If it seems like you’re daydreaming, you probably are. Just allow the thoughts to float into your head and witness them one by one.</p>
<p>Try <a href="http://www.spiritual-and-alternative-healing.com/healing-candles.html">healing candles</a> during your meditation.  They&#8217;re infused with <a href="http://www.spiritual-and-alternative-healing.com/reiki-therapy.html">Reiki</a> healing energy to enhance the meditation.</p>

<p><b>Step outside yourself.</b> This is similar to the meditation exercise, but using a slight variation. Pose a question then watch yourself step above your body through your crown chakra. Keep the question in mind, then allow your floating self to answer it spontaneously. </p>
<p><b>Yoga</b></p>

<p>The downward dog helps to balance the energy from the feet to the crown.</p>
<p>Begin by getting on all fours. Make sure your hands are aligned perfectly with your shoulders and keep your fingers stretched.</p>
<p>Breathe in, lift your pelvis, straighten your legs, and keep your head low.</p>

<p>Breathe normally while you’re in this posture, but try to maintain your feet flat on the ground.</p>
<p>When you’re ready to release from this position, breath out, then lower yourself back on all fours.</p>
<p><b>Colors, Scents, and Crystals</b></p>
<p>You can use violet, gold or white to represent the crown chakra. I like to imagine white energy when I’m clearing out my crown. Use clear quartz or amethyst when performing crystal healing. Place the stone on the top of your head and allow yourself to absorb the healing energies.</p>
<p>Amethyst is also a great stone for your third eye.</p>
<p><b>Lotus</b></p>
<p>Use natural essential oils whenever you feel you need to balance that chakra. </p>

<p>The purpose of mindfulness is to quiet the mind of the anger, stress, fear, doubt, etc., that fills our minds with chatter. It’s the chatter that rules our emotions and by quieting the mind, we live in a constant state of peace and bliss.</p>
<p>One of the most important things to understand is that thoughts themselves are independent and unrelated. As soon as one thought enters the mind, it leaves and is quickly substituted by another thought. We have become in the habit of connecting our thoughts and creating what we believe to be a truth. When we realize thoughts themselves are not concrete, we can learn to stop connecting them and live in the moment rather than in our heads. We give our thoughts too much power and as a result they take over our emotions and happiness.</p>

<p>As we connect negative thoughts, our mood changes and we become upset or angry. When we connect pleasing thoughts, our moods become happier until we think of something else that ends that emotion and takes us to another negative state. When we are able to be mindful, we live in the moment and cease becoming a slave to the mind.</p>
<p>Many of our thoughts are a result of the ego. The natural state of being is to allow the thoughts to enter and leave without becoming attached. Your ego will convince you otherwise and keep you wrapped up in thoughts. With practice you’ll be unattached to your thoughts.</p>

<h2>Practicing Mindful Meditation</h2>
<p>It’s best to begin your day with a meditation. If that’s not possible, it’s more important for you to incorporate a practice in your life so pick a time that works best for you.</p>
<p>Find a comfortable place free of distractions. Light incense, music, or candles if you prefer. Setting the ambiance is only necessary if it enhances your experience. Meditation can occur anytime and any place without outside tools.</p>

<p>Become an observer. Witness your thoughts and don’t connect them. Other meditations suggest focusing on breath, a candle light, repeating mantras, or taking a journey mediation. Mindful meditation takes a bit more practice because you’re not focusing on anything to distract yourself from your thoughts. You’re simply becoming aware. </p>
<p>The longer you sit, the easier it gets. Keep relaxed, don’t judge yourself, and don’t have expectations. Realize that taking time out of your day to sit calmly is doing wonders for you. </p>
<p>It&#8217;s during these times you may receive an important message about your life! When your mind is free from interference of your conscious mind, your subconscious mind comes to light. It was during meditation I came up with my next path in life!</p>

<p><strong>Try Yoga.</strong> Buy a yoga DVD, try out a local studio, or take classes in your gym. Simple stretching is just as beneficial. Start slow so you don’t injure yourself. Stretching loosens up muscles, helps prevent injury, and improves circulation. </p>

<p>Meditation is a wonderful tool for relaxation. With a full-time job or a busy schedule, taking a vacation isn&#8217;t always possible. Although through <a href="http://www.spiritual-and-alternative-healing.com/journey-meditation.html">journey meditation</a>, which is a combination of visualization and meditation, you can go on a relaxing vacation anywhere you&#8217;d like!</p>
<ul>
<li> Sit or lie in a comfortable and quiet place and take a few deep breaths. </li>
<li>Release the tension from your feet. Feel them drop and become heavy.</li>
<li>Bring your attention to your calves and thighs. Feel them become heavier and relaxed.</li>
<li>Feel your abdomen and back release tension. Allow your stomach to rise and fall comfortably with each breath.</li>
<li>Drop your shoulders and release the tension from your neck.</li>
<li>Soften your eyelids and breathe.</li>
<li>Visualize yourself in a place that makes you feel relaxed. Some people prefer sitting under the warm sun at the beach while others prefer sitting under a shady tree in the mountains. When you feel your mind start to wander, bring yourself back to your relaxing destination.</li>
<li>Meditate here for 10-15 minutes. If you&#8217;re at the beach, hear the crash of the waves and feel the sand beneath your body. </li>
<li>If you&#8217;re visualizing yourself in the mountains, hear the rustling of the trees and the chirping of the birds. </li>
</ul>
<p>Dedicate time for you. Make it a priority to schedule yourself at least 15 minutes out of your day to relax. Go for a walk, sit outside, read a book or take a bath. Relaxing is as necessary for your wellbeing as eating a healthy meal. </p>
<p>Prioritize your tasks. Pressuring yourself to complete a long list of demands within an impossible deadline is adding stress into your life that you don&#8217;t need. Don&#8217;t do it. Instead ease the pressure off yourself and prioritize. If possible, delegate tasks.</p>

<p>Just breathe. No matter where you are and what you’re doing, take a few breaths. Breathe from the stomach not the chest. You should see the stomach rise and fall and your shoulders should be dropped and relaxed. Inhale and exhale through the nose, pausing after each in and out breath. Breathing this way increases oxygen to every cell of the body and calms the mind. </p>

<p>Through visualization techniques and meditation, you&rsquo;ll be on your way to wherever you can imagine.</p>
<p>This meditation is used for relaxation and deeper awareness and insight. You’re able to receive an answer by posing a question and remaining open to the symbols and objects you see. You may also journey without a particular question in mind and still experience intuitive messages. If it&#8217;s simply relaxation you seek, journey to a paradise or any comfortable location you choose.</p>

<p>Sit in a quiet and comfortable place. Take a few deep breaths and begin to relax. Move upwards releasing tension from your feet, legs, back, neck, and soften your eyelids. </p>
<p>Connect yourself to the earth. Imagine white light or a rope coming from your root chakra, which is at the base of your spine, connecting to the center of the earth. Visualize it until you feel grounded.</p>
<p>See and feel yourself going up and through your crown chakra, which is at the top of your head. Go higher and higher until you reach a door. Open it and step inside.</p>

<p>Look around the room. Pay attention to the symbols, colors, or objects you come across. You may receive messages in the form of visuals, sounds, or a knowing. If you don’t know what something means, just ask and be open for the answer. </p>
<p>Enter through a second door. Towards the back of the first room, you&#8217;ll see a door. Walk though and meet somebody with a message for you. The person will hand you an object. It can be a letter or a box with something inside. Ask what it means if you&#8217;re not sure. </p>
<p>End the meditation by centering. Thank anybody or everybody you met during your journey. Walk out of the room and close the door behind you. Then walk through the first room and close that door. Come back down through the top of your head through your root chakra into the earth. </p>
<p><strong>Tip</strong>: Be open and accepting of your experience even if you feel you’re making it up. If you don’t see anything, don’t be concerned. Practice and you’ll develop clarity. </p>
<p><strong>Tip</strong>: Journey meditation can take you anywhere. For relaxation, journey to a beach, mountain or anywhere you consider paradise. Stay there until you feel fully relaxed then come back. </p>
<p><strong>Note</strong>: You’re also able to gain deeper insight without journeying to a specific location. To get an answer to a question pertaining to your life, pose the question and be open to whatever answers you receive. Beginners may experience less visuals or symbols meditating in this manner. </p>

<p>The purpose of meditation is to calm the mind and become more peaceful. Eventually you’ll always maintain a level of peacefulness and happiness. With a regular meditation practice, you’ll be more in control of your mind. Outside circumstances have a strong influence on the untrained mind. Our relationships end and we’re heartbroken. We meet somebody new and we become excited again. With regular meditation, you’ll find an inner peace and won’t be so readily influenced by outer situations including your mean boss!</p>
<p>Meditation is also known to lower blood pressure, raise levels of serotonin, and enhances the immune system.</p>

<p>It can be done anywhere and doesn’t require you to sit cross-legged until your legs numb while you wait hours for enlightenment (unless that’s your goal, in which case go for it!). You can practice different types of meditations for different results including visualization techniques, chakra meditation, and journey meditation.</p>
<ul>
<li>The first rule when it comes to learning how to meditate, is to not become frustrated! You’re still benefiting from being still.</li>
<li>Find a comfortable and quiet location. Turn off your cell phone. Tell the kids, spouse, or roommates to keep themselves entertained for a while. You’re having you time. </li>
<li>Sit comfortably.</li>
<li>Put a pillow on the ground and sit comfortably, or sit in a chair if you prefer. Laying down will usually make you fall asleep which is not the point of meditation! </li>
<li>Focus on the breath. To calm the mind from thoughts, focus on something else like the breath. Pay attention to your breath entering and leaving your nostrils. Yes, you will have many thoughts entering your mind and it may seem like you’re thinking more than ever! Really, you’re just becoming aware of the many thoughts you normally experience. Keep focusing on the breath and the thoughts will slow until you actually have a blank mind! Allow the thoughts to enter your mind, notice them and watch them leave.

<p><strong>Tip&#58;</strong> If you find yourself falling asleep with your eyes closed, keep them partially open.</p>
<p><strong>Tip&#58;</strong> Another way to calm the mind is to focus your attention on a candle flame. Try these different variations and see which you prefer: Place the candle about 3-6 feet away from you and gaze at it. When you find your mind wandering, bring your attention to the candle flame.</p>
<p>The second variation is to gaze at the flame for a couple minutes, close your eyes and maintain the image of the flickering candle in your mind. Bring your attention back to the dancing flame whenever you find yourself thinking. </p>

<li> Don’t resist. When first learning how to meditate, you may become frustrated because you can&#8217;t quiet the mind. The harder you resist having thoughts, the more frustrated you’ll become and it will seem as if you’re not succeeding. Just flow with the process. With patience, practice, and trust you’ll notice a clear, peaceful, and happy feeling. </li>
